The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ (MCG Group) is pleased to announce that seedling pots manufactured by Tokai Kasei Co., Ltd. (Head office: Mino City, Gifu Prefecture) that use Forzeas™, the group’s plant-derived biodegradable resin compound, are being sold at the LAKE HAMANA HANAHAKU (Flower Expo) 2024, which opened on April 6 and will run until June 2. Specially designed five-color sets of the pots with the mark of HANAHAKU 2024 engraved are available at the official shop of the Hamanako Garden Park venue.

Forzeas™ is a polymer compound that uses Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s plant-derived biodegradable resin “BioPBS™” that is decomposed into water and carbon dioxide by microorganisms in the natural environment. Seedling pots using Forzeas™ have been sold by Tokai Kasei since 2022. They are biodegradable in soil, and seedlings in the pots can be planted in a field or a garden planter without removing the pots. The grade of Forzeas™ used in the pot has received the Japan BioPlastics Association’s biodegradable plastic mark certification.
